If you’ve been feeling off—this might be why

Hey, Cleanish Squad!

This time of year can be sneaky hard.

It’s not quite the fresh start of January anymore. Spring break or, now, Easter might’ve thrown off your routine, and summer’s just around the corner, which brings that “I should be further along by now” pressure.

Even if nothing major has happened, a lot of people feel a little “off” right now—like they’ve lost momentum but don’t quite know how to get it back.

If that’s you, I want you to know this: You don’t need to start over. You just need to start again.

What I tell my clients (and myself):

Getting back on track doesn’t require a perfect plan or a huge reset.
It just takes one small, intentional move:

  • Go for a walk
  • Make your next meal high in protein and fiber
  • Make sure you prioritize your sleep.
  • Drink more water
  • Say no to the “all or nothing” voice in your head

You don't have to do everything. You just have to do something, and then let that build. Progress doesn’t come from doing everything right. It comes from learning how to keep going when things feel messy.

If you're in that messy middle right now—you're not alone.

Want to take it a step further?

Grab a sticky note or open your Notes app and ask yourself, "What’s one thing I can do today that makes me feel more like myself?" It doesn’t have to be big. Just intentional.

And if no one’s told you today—you’re doing great. Progress isn’t always loud or dramatic. Sometimes, it looks like showing up anyway.

Keep going,

P.S. If you’re looking for a more structured way to learn about inflammation, reset your habits, and get back on track for real life—not just a quick fix—30 Day Healthy is a great place to start. You’ll get simple guidance, personal support from me, and the momentum you’ve been missing.

Hey, Cleanish Squad! Over the years, I’ve tried so many things to reduce inflammation—supplements, strict diets, expensive protocols. Some helped… but most didn’t move the needle at all. In this week’s video, I’m sharing what I actually do now to manage inflammation in a simple, sustainable way. These are the small habits that have made a huge difference in my own energy, digestion, recovery, and mood—and I’ve seen these same changes play out in my clients over the years, too. Hey, Cleanish Squad! Listen to me read this email to you When I first started trying to lose weight, I followed all the “rules.” Low-calorie everything. Fat-free sauces. Artificial sweeteners. I truly believed if I just ate less—and cut out everything “bad”—I’d get the results I wanted. And I did lose weight. But I also lost energy, strength, and muscle. I was tired, constantly hungry, and barely holding it together. Looking back, I had to unlearn a lot of what I thought was true about food...

Hey, Cleanish Squad! I knew writing this cookbook would be a lot of work—but what I didn’t expect was how nervous I’d feel to actually start. Even with the plan in place and the recipes mapped out, starting chapter one felt heavy. And once I got started—testing, writing, and photographing—it finally started to feel real. In this week’s video, I’m taking you behind the scenes of writing the very first chapter of my cookbook—testing recipes, photographing meals, and figuring it all out...
