Now that I’ve got your attention, let's start by taking a DEEP BREATH and letting out all that pressure you've put on yourself to succeed.

All those "shoulds."

All those self-defeating thoughts.

All those critical things we say to ourselves.

All those doubts.

All that junk.

Close your eyes and BREATHE.

Feels good, right? Like something that needs to happen more often than not?

I swear, one day, I'll actually get the word "Breathe" tattooed on my wrist so I remember to do it more often. It's easy to forget…

There's so much negativity out there in this world, so many reasons why NOT to do something. But you're taking charge of your life and improving yourself. Let your light shine and overcome all that darkness.

Think about this for a second...

There is no "perfect."

I know I'm guilty of trying to be perfect a little too often. I obsess over spell-check when writing my posts, emails, recipes, and texts - yet I still make mistakes ALL the time...and those are easy to spot -- not like behaviors and thoughts we can't see as well. I try to be the perfect wife, the perfect mother, the perfect coach, the perfect person, and I hate that I fail.

Because I'm none of those things.

No one is.

To be honest, I (way too) often base my worth off how and what other people think about me. I try to be the perfect mom and judge myself when I see other moms providing for their children in a way I can't or just don't for mine. Like -- seriously -- I CANNOT do a french braid to save my life lol. I feel ashamed when I ruin a recipe. I stress out for days before a live event where I will be vulnerable, desperately hoping not to mess up. I...

But, then, I breathe.

I remember I am doing my best and that's good enough. I remind myself I am not perfect and it's my imperfections that make me valuable, worthwhile, and real. There's perfection in our imperfections.

You are who you are. At the end of the day, you need to be able to live with yourself. So, take time to make mistakes, mess up, do the stuff you're not supposed to do...be REAL. That's how we learn and grow, anyways. And know that it's gonna be okay. We're all going to be ok, even when we fail.

Because we all fail.

It's normal to feel overwhelmed and tired and question your choices. It's normal to stay hidden and fight against change. This is all part of the process, I promise.

Breathe. Come back to your goals, your vision, your mantra.

You are a powerful, beautiful person who is taking charge of your life.

You got this.
